Web Advisory Committee Minutes, November 1, 2004

Present: Suzanne Beckett, Barbara Howser, Marie Irwin, Sarah Jones, Mary Jo Lyons, Josie Murdock, Jim Wellvang

Absent: Gerald Alvarez, Cathy Spitzenberger

1. Choose a regular meeting time
   Next meeting scheduled for Monday, November 15, at 3:00. We will try to come up with a regular meeting time at that meeting.
   
   
2. Review the Web Advisory Committee charge
   The group briefly reviewed the committee charge. Marie provided background information on the formation of the committee.
   
   
3. Getting ourselves organized
   Sarah suggested that one of the first priorities for the group should be to establish visibility within the Libraries. She asked committee members to begin putting together a list of people who have been responsible for web content in the past along with the kind of content they were responsible for maintaining. This information will provide a starting point for working with Coordinators to establish content authors for the web site.
   
   A group email address has been established for WAC: library-wac@listserv.uta.edu

For next meeting: Each WAC member will be asked to talk about what they are hoping WAC will accomplish.
