Agenda:
(changed meeting time (to begin at 2:00 pm) to accommodate a 24/7 online conference that some WAC members will be attending)
1. Review the draft message board guidelines distributed by Suzanne
ACTION:
- User policy -- double check the link to policy and any general copy editing
- Board topics: GIS, "Research Help" (name to be decided), "Library Comments & Suggestions" (which includes "Forum Feedback")
- Moderators -- develop a group that will moderate boards, include people with topic expertise as well as "online community" expertise, develop training/mentoriing/guidelines development for the moderators
2. Review the draft tweaks to the internal site navigation menus distributed
ACTION:
Discussion included "Research Tools" and "Services" with discussion of "Services" to continue and discussion of "Libraries & Collections" and "About the Libraries" to begin at the next meeting.

Consensus was not reached on "Visitors" vs. "Services for Visitors" nor "Technology" vs. "Technology Services" regard which terms would best communicate to users. We will hold off on a decision until the more controversial versions ("Visitors" and "Technology") can be tested with users to determine which variants best communicate to an uninitiated user of the web site.
Discussion of the full drop-down navigation version of these categories will also continue at the next meeting.
Next Meeting (Tuesday, June 14, 2005, 1:30-3:30 pm):
- Investigate message board software (Marie)
- UTALO home page listings and drop-down navigation menu -- Gretchen will send out ideas/proposals to help us continue the discussion
